SEO and growth retainership

How do we technically optimise your YouTube, Instagram and Facebook for search?

Quick answer

We work on the signals each platform says it uses to match your content with viewers: keywords in names, titles, bios and captions, strong packaging, retention, structured metadata and a linked website. We do this in a 6-month plan with weekly planning and a monthly review, and we measure every change. The retainership is ₹20,000 per month + GST (US$239 per month for international clients), minimum 6 months. No rankings, views or income are promised.

The basics

What does SEO for social channels actually mean?

SEO means helping the right people find your content when they search or when a platform recommends it. On social channels, that happens in several places, not only in a search box.

YouTube

  • YouTube search, where people type a question or topic
  • Suggested videos next to and after a video
  • The Browse feed on the home page
  • Google results, where videos can appear as video results

Instagram

  • Instagram search, which reads words in your name, username, bio and captions
  • Alt text and the words in and on Reels
  • Reels and recommendations shown to people who do not follow you
  • Public posts from professional accounts, which can also appear in search engines such as Google

Facebook

  • Facebook Search for Pages, videos and posts
  • Reels and video recommendations
  • The Page name, category and About section
  • Public Pages, which Google can index

Platforms do not publish their ranking formulas. We optimise the signals the platforms say they use, such as relevance, viewer interest and original content, and then we measure the result in each platform's own analytics.

YouTube

How do we optimise YouTube technically?

We work layer by layer. Each layer has a change, a reason and a way to check if it helped.

YouTube optimisation layers
LayerWhat we changeWhyHow we measure
Keyword and intent research Map the topics people search for and the topics YouTube suggests. Split the plan into search topics (answers) and suggested topics (interest and curiosity). Search and Suggested are different doors. Each needs a different title, hook and thumbnail. Impressions by traffic source: YouTube search, Suggested, Browse.
Title and thumbnail packaging Write titles that carry the main phrase early and promise one clear result. Design thumbnails with one idea and few words. Run thumbnail and title tests where Studio offers them. Packaging decides if a viewer clicks when the video is shown. Impressions click-through rate (CTR) before and after a change.
First 30 seconds Plan the hook, the promise and the first payoff. Cut slow intros and long channel greetings. Many viewers leave early. A strong start protects watch time. Audience retention graph, drop-off points in the first 30 seconds.
Description Put the main phrase and a plain summary in the first two lines. Add chapters and timestamps, useful links and one clear next step. The first lines show in search and help viewers decide. Chapters help people jump to what they need. Search impressions for the target phrase, chapter views.
Captions and language Upload a corrected caption file (SRT) and set the video and channel language. Add titles and descriptions in other languages only where you serve that audience. Captions help viewers who watch on mute and give the platform clean text for the video. Watch time from different regions, caption coverage across uploads.
Playlists and series Group videos into playlists with a clear name and order. Build repeatable series formats. Series bring viewers back and move them to the next video. Returning viewers, views from playlists, next-video starts.
Channel-level setup Rewrite the channel description, channel keywords where useful, banner, links and featured section so they match the keyword map. The channel page is often the second page a new viewer sees. Views from the channel page, new subscribers, link clicks (with UTM tags).
Cards and end screens Add cards at natural moments and end screens that point to the next best video, not a random one. They keep a viewer watching on your channel after the video ends. Card and end screen click rates in Studio.
Shorts to long-form funnel Use Shorts to introduce topics and link or point viewers to the full video. Keep the topic of the Short close to the long video. Shorts reach many people but a different viewer. A linked topic helps some of them find the full video. Shorts views, views gained by long videos after Shorts, subscribers from each format.
Upload metadata consistency Use one naming pattern for titles, file names, tags, categories and default upload settings. Clean, repeatable metadata is easier to audit and to improve. Audit checklist score per upload, mismatches fixed per month.
Studio analytics routine Review impressions, CTR, average view duration and returning viewers every week. Write down one change per video and what happened. Without a log, nobody knows what worked. A weekly snapshot and a monthly review of the log.
Website embeds and video markup Embed key videos on pages of your website and add VideoObject structured data (title, description, thumbnail, upload date). This helps Google understand the video page and may help it show your video in Google results. Google decides what it shows. Google Search Console video indexing report, clicks from Google to the page.
Copyright and reused-content hygiene Check for reused clips, music and repetitive formats. Replace or add original value where needed. Reused or repetitive content is a common reason for review problems later. Policy and copyright notices in Studio, clean checks before upload.

CTR means click-through rate: of the people who saw your thumbnail, how many clicked. Impressions means how many times YouTube showed it.

Instagram

How do we optimise Instagram?

Instagram is search plus recommendations. We make the profile easy to find and the content easy to understand and share.

Profile signals

  • Name and username with your main topic or service, where it reads naturally
  • Bio that says who you help and what to do next
  • The right account category
  • One link that goes to a hub page, tagged with UTM

Content signals

  • Reels built around one topic, with the keyword said aloud, shown on screen and written in the caption
  • Alt text on photos and carousels
  • A few relevant hashtags only. Instagram has said hashtags are not something to rely on for reach
  • Original content. Instagram says it gives more reach to original creators than to reposts
  • Carousels and Reels made to be saved and shared

What we measure

  • Reach and non-follower reach
  • Saves and shares per post
  • Profile visits and link taps
  • Posting cadence you can keep up for six months
  • Which topics bring new people, not only existing followers
Facebook

How do we optimise Facebook?

Facebook gives less detail about ranking than YouTube does. We stay with basics that are clear and check them in Insights.

Page signals

  • Page name, category and About text that match your other channels
  • The same address, phone number and website everywhere
  • Public visibility settings that let people and Google see the Page
  • Facebook Groups only if you already run one, or the Page has a clear reason to have one

Content signals

  • Facebook Reels and short video made for Facebook, with captions
  • Native uploads instead of pasted links from other apps
  • Link posts that send people to your website or YouTube channel
  • Scheduling in Meta Business Suite so posting stays regular

What we measure

  • Reach and video views in Insights
  • Link clicks to your website
  • Which posts bring new Page followers
  • Cross-posting hygiene: no watermarks from other apps, no copy-paste captions

Facebook has said little about how it ranks content, so treat every item here as a tested habit, not a rule.

Your website and all platforms

What do we do on your website and across platforms?

The three channels work better when they point to each other and to one home on the web.

Link graph

  • Organization schema on your site with sameAs links to your YouTube, Instagram and Facebook profiles
  • A link-in-bio hub page on your own domain
  • UTM tags on every link so analytics shows which platform sent the visit
  • Google Search Console set up, with video indexing checked for pages that embed videos

One brand, one keyword map

  • The same brand name, spelling and contact details on every profile
  • One keyword map used by all three platforms, so each topic has one clear home
  • A repurposing workflow: one long video becomes Shorts, Reels, Facebook Reels, a website embed and a caption set
  • A simple sheet that records what was posted where and what it did
The 6-month plan

What happens month by month in a 6-month retainership?

Limits

What can we not promise?

No guaranteed numbers

We cannot guarantee rankings, views, followers, reach or approval. Platforms decide, and they do not share their formulas.

Platforms decide monetization

YouTube and Meta decide who gets monetization tools. We prepare your channel and check the rules. We do not control the decision.

No fake numbers

We do not buy views, subscribers or watch hours. They break platform rules and can put your channel at risk.

People also ask

Straight answers before you pay.

How much does the SEO and growth retainership cost?

₹20,000 per month + GST for clients in India. International clients pay US$239 per month by wire transfer, with no GST on exports of services as shown on the invoice. The minimum term is 6 months, invoiced once for the whole term (₹1,20,000 + GST, or US$1,434 for international clients) and paid 100% in advance.

Why is there a minimum of 6 months?

Search and recommendation signals build slowly. A channel needs time to be audited, fixed, published to and measured. Six months lets us run a full cycle of research, packaging, production, distribution and review, and compare the data at the end. A shorter plan would mostly stop after the setup work.

What is the refund policy for the retainership?

Payment is 100% in advance, and once the process is initiated the payment is non-refundable. Read the full refund policy before you pay, and ask us on WhatsApp if anything is unclear. If you only want to test our work first, the Channel Audit is the smaller step.

Do you need my password?

No. We never ask for your password. We work through the access roles the platforms provide, such as Viewer or Manager access in YouTube Studio and Page or Business Suite access for Facebook. For Instagram we can work from Insights screens and exports you share. You can remove access at any time.

What is the difference between the audit, the roadmap and the retainership?

The Channel Audit (₹2,999 + GST) is a one-time review with findings. The Starter Roadmap (₹4,999 + GST) is a weekly roadmap that you execute yourself. Growth Optimization (from ₹15,000 + GST) is a one-time optimisation project. The retainership (₹20,000 per month + GST, minimum 6 months) is ongoing work with weekly planning, a monthly review call and hands-on support.

Does this work for Facebook Pages?

Yes, Facebook Pages are included. We work on the Page name, category, About details, Reels and video, link posts to your website and Insights. Facebook does not publish how it ranks content, and organic reach varies a lot by Page, so we measure what changes and do not promise numbers.

How soon will I see results?

It depends on your channel, your topic and how often you publish. We measure impressions, click-through rate, watch time, reach and profile visits over 90 days. Fixes to titles and metadata can show up within weeks, while audience growth usually takes longer. We do not promise numbers or dates.

Can international clients pay in US dollars?

Yes. International clients pay US$239 per month by wire transfer. The Channel Audit is US$35, the Starter Roadmap is US$59 and Growth Optimization is from US$179. No GST is charged on exports of services, as shown on the invoice. The 6-month minimum and advance payment apply to the retainership.
